August the 16th
Mrs. Morgan I received Mr. Morgan’s letter to day as you didn’t answer my letter i didn’t no
whether you would want me when you come home or not so I am hired to Mrs. Christy i had
new you wanted me i would not hired to her. But if you would rather wait until towards the
middle of next month i will come and stay with you i would rather stay with you. But I hate to
go back on her I just commenced Monday she gives me one dollar and half but if you would
rather get another girl as to wait on me let me know if you had rate to me before i hired to her i
would not come working for hire did you have a good time while you were gone I have been
nearly sick with Baby for the last month Jane is at Mrs. Botley’s now. Please let me know if you
want to wait on me a while or if you will get a mother girl so i will know what to do
