Box 1, Folder 4, Item 3—Letter to Ora and Porter Morgan from Dick T. Morgan on August 2,
1902

Oklahoma City, O.T. Aug 2nd 1902
10:00 am

Dear Ode and Porter:

Well, here I am at Oklahoma [?] on my way home. I will spend Thursday with [?] tomorrow, and
way [?] home Sunday night or may wait until Monday night. My route I have not fully decided
upon, I may go find the route [?] except I will go to [?]. [???]. The way it is now I could just
determine. I did think, you know that I might go to Mothers before I visited you, but I think now
I will not. I can run down to [??] any day I want to, in case I want to go down before you get
ready to go. The fact is I want to see you—as it seems you have been away a long time and it
will give me an opportunity to visit with the folks at forest Home and then we can [??] the visit at
Mother’s.
There has been nothing new the last day or two. I have been working quite hard to get ready to
go because I feel that I had better not post pone starting too long- especially if want to get back
by Sep 1st.
Your good letter [??] in due time. I am sure I enjoyed it very, very much. I conveyed your
message to Mr. Wright and [????]. She was in for coming home with me to see you- but [?] as I
left she was no when [?]. In fact, I left without bidding any of the [?] good-by. Though at the

supper table I had told them that I was liable to leave to-night. Mrs. B has not gone yet: She is [?]
some time next week- Tuesday I think.
Well, I guess I will close. I will [?] and not surprise you too much- I may stop over- one day in
K.C. in [?]. My affect would be to see after some business along the line of the [?] business
which I have been thinking of establishing and to get me a light coat, watch charm, etc. So do not
look for me too soon.
So good night. Hoping to see you both soon, and find you well. [?] much love and kisses to both.
I am affectionate,
Papa
