My dear Ode:
Your very welcome letter of the 25 received this Sunday morning-and one time at length I felt
repaid for going to the Post office Sunday morning. Porter’s letters told me that you had been
feeling poorly, and I was so sorry. But I was glad you were now feeling better, and hope by this
time, you are all right again.
I am at the office having come here from the Y. M. C. A. rooms. My excuse for coming to the
office on Sunday to write this letter are 1. You know I don’t like to write on the table at home, 2.
It is lonesome there without you; I feel less lonesome at the office than at the room. Then, it is
quite pleasant in the offices here at afternoon, and is not quite so much [??] at the room unless
the door are kept open. So I hope all these excuses will be sufficient. Well, the addresses at the
Y. M. C. A. passed off all right. I read it. It took about 30 minutes to read it. The attendance was
good no ladies. No special music. I think the address was at least fairly well appreciated. Some
compliments. I gave you an outline in my other letter.
Bro. Monroe was back for service each Sunday. I presided at [[???]] labels last Sunday as I did
to-day; nothing special at the services on either occasion. Some of the people-just who I can not
remember all now have inquired about you. Mrs. Monroe-Mrs. Shaw-and others.

Last Sunday I did forget to tell you of the arrival home of Mrs. Wright with the children-but
don’t see how going to Y. M. C. A. to hear [[???]] preacher.
I had no special [[???]] in the man, or desire to hear him, but thought I ought to go as I had been
acquisitioned to do. His [[???]] was not specially fine-not near so good as the we heard the
Sunday before.
O. Yes, I did not go to S.S. [[???]] Sunday or li-day. Though I would wait; we would both [[???]]
together this fall. Has notice from Dr. Buxton that the [[???]] [[???]] meets at Oklahoma City
Aug. 1st 8:30 a.m. Don’t know whether I will attend or not.
Saturday evening after supper I took Princess out to the pasture and left her there. The man made
me promise to take her and Honey away in a few days. I will have to get a new pasture for them.
My, I wish I could get rid of one of my horses at a good price.
Mrs. Wright; Mrs. Blackwell have asked about you-if I have heard from you-how you were. O.
yes, I had bad luck last night. I went out with the big pitcher to get some water. In coming in I
struck the spout of the pitcher on the machine of some kind that stands on the walk in the grape
arbor and broke off a piece about 2 inches long; an inch inside-Guess I will have to [[???]] the
[[???]]. I was so provoked about it I have wondered why they kept that old thing there in the
way. I have come near falling in it several times.
Mr. Fogg went to Bridgeport yesterday p.m. He is to visit Mr. [[Frybergen’s?]] country-house
today. I believe from what he said there are some young folks out there from El Reno.
Well, I believe I have given all the news. Should nothing happen I will start home, between the
first and the seventh. Will give you notice. I am quite busy, but will arrange matters the best I
can while I am gone.

I will enclose chk for $10.00 for Porter. He writes he needs some. Suppose you have some left
from what you said. If not you will, of course, [[???] to call for ore.
Well, I will close. I miss you very much, and think often how you are, and hope you are enjoying
yourself. I shall expect you to write today-so I will hear from you again about Tuesday. I enclose
much love and kisses.
Your appreciative husband,
Dick T. Morgan
Tell Porter I have very sorry he had been so sick-Glad he is o.k. again. I will write him in a few
days. It is 6:30. I will go to supper.
By-by
Dick

Love to all
