Dear Ora and Porter:
This is Sunday P.M. I am at the office. I have [[?]] [[?]] looked over the mail, read the paper and
will now enjoy myself writing to you.
I attended church this morning. There was nothing special. They have an orchestra now- 2
violins and bass violin. The [[?]] is fairly good. Bro. [[Mourner?]] preached on "Echoes from the
[[Couwertions?]]."
The principal went with me this week has seen the Ter. Counties. I left Tuesday at 1:10 P.M. The
delegates from here were Bro. and Sis. [[Mowor?]], Bro and Sist. Jackman, Sister DeBalln(Mrs.)
and Hebbord and myself. We arrived at Norman at about 5-o'clock. As was proposed the

majority of the delegates were entertained at the "A[[?]] House." The Building is furnished

2. the delegates were pleased with the entertainment. It was conducted as a [[?]]. All registered
and Prof. Mahloen assigned the rooms. I roomed with [[?] Dutchen, Humphrey, and Ogle on the
3rd floor. The office and lobby were a kind of a general reception room. Well, the convention
went off all right. We were about 100 delegates from abroad, and the evening went generally
good. There were no speakers from abroad who spoke at night. So that all the principal addresses
were made by house preachers. I have no address to deliver. I was re-elected President. We left
Norman at 4 a.m. Friday morning and arrived at El Ten at 7:35 a.m. I had breakfast at

3.Oklahoma City that is I did. Bro. Jackman and I went together (Mrs. J did not go) to restaurant.
Friday I was busy in my office work. Saturday occurred the Republican County Convention here.
IN my absence I was elected a delegate. So Saturday I speak most of the time alluding the
Conventions. The Convention passed a resolution inviting me to address this which I did in a
short speech. I sent you paper containing as it of Convention.
I am invited to speak in Enid on the 16th at the Celebration the entitled ship opening and old
Settlers Celebration. I present shall go I was also invited to speak at a County S.S. Convention to
G held.

at Guthrie the 13th our [[?]] which I will attend. Though I may. Well, mama, I hope so far been
disappointed in not receiving your letter, which you were writing me, hurry it up. You letter,
^Porter came to home in due time and saw was duly appreciated. Jon gave me a way minute,
description of your [[dorms?]] and I am, [[?]][[?]][[?]], greatly interested in what you and mama
are doing and in how you are enjoying your relax. Mohin's may again come. Thanks I have
gathered some ideas on advertising from in I am interested about that time, you know. So far I
have done nothing with my ^new real estate plan. I am waiting to get a good bit of [[?]][[?]] sale.

soon.I enclose you a ch for $25.00. Do not cash it until you get to [[?]]. Then, I will send you
another, which you can cash, a week or two later, in time to pay you you with. My back ache i
snot very [[underline]]flush[[/underline]] now, but as I shall settle down to business I think it will
re-cuperate. Yes, mama, You keep that $10.00 as you will soon need some to come house on.

Mama, Mrs. B. has not returned yet, Mr and Mrs. Fryburger and daughter are barcoding
[[strikethrough]] he[[/strikethrough]] their now; The old lady in charge gives better board than
[[?]] had before. Mr. and Mrs Wright are thinking of going to house-keeping. Well, mama, let
me have a letter from you Just need not wait until Porter leaves. I have not seen [[Chorls?]]. [[?]]
writes me they left here for Chandler. I will ^write Clark this evening. Porter, You will write me
as soon as you get to Des Moines. Hope you are both well. Love and kisses in abundance to you
both.
