Dear Ora:
I am at the office, this P.M. I have read some of the paper, and will enjoy myself writing to my
dear wife. This Sunday P.M. you are without Porter, though you have the advantage up Porter
and I, you are with your home [[base?]], while we are with strangers. Well, for my self, I am all
alone, and have no company when you are not here, I hope you are well and enjoying yourself
this P.M. Four time is now short for your [[?]] at house, and you must make good use of it. I
shall expect you to say soon just when you will start house. By this I am not ordering you or
insisting, because for^ I want you to finish your visit, but

Well, I have been pretty busy this week, at my work. I had an invitation to deliver an address
before the Sugar Co. (Guthrie) S.S. Convention, and to address the Hoosiers at their meeting at
the soldiers reunion (on Indiana day) at Guthrie, Last Thursday and Friday, but did not accept
either proposition. I had to go to Kingfisher Saturday to attend the Council Convention, to
nominate a candidate for the upper house of our Legislature. Col. Lincoln
