Birthday (1907 February)
This being the year for Miss Helen Adkin’s to act as hostess at the celebration of her fourteenth
and Mrs. A. R. Heath’s eighty-first birth days, she did it to a “queen’s taste” at the Davison
Adkins homestead on last Sunday.
Individual mention of the guests present on that occasion is out of the question when we
remember that it was necessary to make three tills of the spacious dining room at the Ed.
Davison home in order that the multitude be fed. However; Elder A. R. Heath, who had finished
up 81 years on Feb 7 was “present and voting” (for more chicken) and making a full hand at the
dinner table.
It was also a feast for the soul and heart, as well as the stomach, and we long for a repetition of
the same in one year, at the home of Mother Heath, for tradition says they shall alternated in the
role of the hostess.
