OBITUARY NOTICE.

Eliza J. Harvey, died at her residence, corner of Sixth and Robinson streets, yesterday evening at
5 o’clock. Her funeral will be held at her late residence at 3 p.m., today. Her body will be taken
to Indianapolis for burial. All friends invited to the funeral.
Mrs. Harvey was born in Switzerland county, Indiana, and at the date of her death was almost
seventy years of age. She came to Oklahoma City June 10, 1894, and was accompanied by one
son and two daughters, one Nellie Woolen, who was for a long time one of the teachers in our
city schools; the other daughter is now Mrs. J. L. Brown. All of these children are now gone
from Oklahoma except Mrs. Brown.
Mrs. Harvey was and had been a member of the Christian church for over fifty years, and at all
times led an exemplary and Christian life. She was at church as usual on Sunday evening a week
ago, and was taken sick on Tuesday and suffered from bowel trouble which could not be
controlled and she slowly weakened down to death yesterday evening. She died a painless death,
was conscious to within thirty minutes if the end and was resigned and ready to go. She had been
a widow for the last ten years of her life made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Brown. She is
survived by two sons and her two daughters.
