Box 1, Folder 31, Item 5- Letter to Ora Morgan from M.E. [[DeFranco?]] (1907 June 14)

Chicago, June 14, 1907
5321 Greenwood Ave.
Dear Mrs. Morgan.

I have felt quite anxious to know about the remainder of your journey after I left you at Kansas
City, and also about Mr. Morgan's mother's trip. So I
decided to drop you a line to inquire. I left you so unceremoniously, but that young lady said.
"[[?]] they have called our train," so we hurried on, but found after we had boarded the train it
was a mistake. We did not start for several minutes. She and I both found we would have to take
up booths, so she decided she would not take any, but would go in the Chair car, so she left me,
and I did not see her again. I was ill in the night, but felt better in the morning, but am practically
well again. It grows colder as we reached Chicago, and was raining. I found Mary as I had
planned, and took lunch
with her at the [[?]]. We are having a nice visit, through she has to be away most of the day. I
hope you and Mrs Morgan Senior both reached your destination in health and safety.
Very Sincerely
M.E. DeF[[?]]
