My Dear Ora:
As I had a card from Ma this morning, saying she arrived at Terre Haute all right and had gotten
along fine on her trip home. I thought I would send you a short letter to-day. I send you her card.
I felt much gratitude when I heard from her. And I got your card saying you had reached
Danville. Had been on time an shod no mishap. and I was glad you had gotten through safely.
Bessie arrived home this morning. They were not expecting her for a week yet. The other night
when I left on bus to go to Enid. Mrs Day and Wiley were in the bus She had gotten a telegram
that her brother in Texas was not expected to live. Also Mrs. Baher, Austin's married daughter
was om the bust she was going to California to her husband where they are to love. so I was
informed by Mrs. Austin at depot. Also Dr. Patton and wife were on the bus- starting to Indiana
we had about a bus full- as then was a gentleman that I did not know. I got up this morning at 7
o'clock- my stomach was hurting me a little. I think I have given you [[underline]] all the news

[[/underline]] so I will stop. I will probably have to practice tomorrow p.m. and may not write
you Sunday- Hope this will find you well and having a good time. Love to all, your loving
husband, Dick.
